World Renowned Recording Artist Michael Amante Announces An Afternoon of Romance and a Special Tribute to the U.S. Disabled Veterans.  

World renowned recording artist Michael Amante on December 14th, 2008 will be performing at the Capital One Theater at Westbury (formally known as North Fork Theatre @ Westbury and Westbury Music Fair), in Westbury, New York. This concert will be a Holiday themed performance with a special tribute to the United States disabled veterans. Capturing in song the heart and soul of pure romance, this world-renowned artist just released his fifth major album (CD), “Ready For More”. The performance will include a collection of music of the Holiday Season, along with his extensive repertoire of romantic, classical, contemporary and Broadway songs.

A portion of the proceeds from this performance will benefit “The Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans” and DAV Chapter 76 “National Amputation Foundation, Inc.”

Michael Amante, singing since the tender age of five, is gifted with a four-octave range.  He is considered one of the most versatile and gifted performers, and is able to sing in a variety of languages including Italian, Polish, Spanish, French, German Classical, Italian Art, and Latin.  He also regularly records and performs in a vast array of styles including Pop/Rock, Gospel and Broadway with a flair, finesse and finely-crafted artistry that puts this virtuoso vocalist firmly in his own class.

Amante took the world by storm with his self-titled debut album, released on Medalist records. It has become one of the best-selling recordings of its kind, placing him #1 on Billboard Magazine’s 2002 Year-End Top Classical Midline Chart.  The Album was widely recognized, and Amante has been hailed as “The Fourth Tenor,” by entertainer, Regis Philbin and “The next Mario Lanza” by artist Tony Bennett.  The New York Times declared that this “swashbuckling Italian tenor exhibits both the voice and charisma of a cross over star.”  The Philadelphia Exclusive confirms that “Amante rewrites the book on anyone’s idea of what a tenor can be.”  The New York Post dubbed Amante as “the golden-voiced tenor.”  He has given performances for countless dignitaries and U.S. Presidents, appeared on numerous national television shows, and has performed at many sporting and other large arenas. He is also known as the “Voice of the New York Mets” for singing the National Anthem at many of their games.

Amante followed his chart topping album, in 2003 with “Tell Her I Love Her,” a blend of song styling that reflects the fun, romantic music Amante excels at performing.  After releasing “Tell Her I Love Her,” Amante began production on his most personal album entitled, “Humbled,” which reflects Amante’s dedication to Judeo/Christian ethics and traditional family values.

The Amante Team is developing a non-partisan project that will provide financial support to organizations benefiting the United States Disabled Veterans.   The project will consist of a Patriotic Album, "Amante Salutes America", being produced by Michael Amante and Herb Bernstein.  The album will be sold at Michael Amante performances, via the internet at his On-Line Store and will be made available to Organizations to sell as part of their fund raising ventures. The Team will also actively attempt to bring a major recording label or national distributor and marketing partner onboard for making this album available to the general public.                                                                                                            

Amante Salutes America, Inc., a New York State Not-for-Profit Corporation, has been formed for the express purpose of creating, distribution and sales of this CD. Amante Salutes America, Inc. has filed an application for 501(c) 3 Tax Exempt Status under the Internal Revenue Code. All funds and costs and expenses with respect to the creation and promotion of the CD together with all income from the exploitation of the CD will flow through Amante Salutes America, Inc.
